DM Auto Leasing's reply to:

DM Auto Leasing in Newark, Delaware - Overpriced and no customer service

Thank you for bringing your situation to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond and improve our customer response and service. Please understand that our leases are tailored to your exact needs and situation. It seems from your comments about negative equity you may have had a vehicle at the time as a trade in. An apples to apples comparison with an advertised dealer program is almost impossible in that situation. We are the largest and most competitive consumer leasing company in the county and our rates are based on our volume. For over 35 years sixty to seventy percent of our business is from repeat and referred clients. Please be assured that unless there was an egregious mistake, our prices, service and results are not only competitive but exceptional. Please accept my apology if there was any miscommunication during this process. We regret the fact that you may not have gotten what you needed from our agent. If there is ever anything I can do personally for you please do  not hesitate to call. Joe Graber, President 817-925-3399 x305

I have leased several vehicles from car dealerships. I heard the ad on the radio promising the best monthly rates in the market, so id ecided to check them out.

I was contacted right away by Misti and she seemed really nice. She was very to the point and I liked that from her. After talking a couple times she recommended a car that I was actually interested in. It was a 2013 model with 30k miles on it.

She then proceded to quote me a price that I found ridiculous! The price she quoted was the same price I would pay for the exact same vehicle but a 2015 model and brand new 0miles straight out of the dealership. When I commented that I did not see any value on paying more for al older vehicle she said she would "shee what she can do" and get back to me.

This was 3 weeks ago and I have not heard back from her.

Saty clear of D&M, the prices are NOT the lowest in the market, more like the priciest for those who do not know anything about leasing....watch out! you can have a much better deal directly with a dealrship (And beware their NEGATIVE EQUITY spiel, in the end it comes down to how much you are paying per month and this is not a good deal).

DM Auto Leasing in Houston, Texas - DM - Worst Customer Service - thieves

Thanks for bringing your situation to my attention. Over the course of a month's business we talk to thousands of prospects and transact ten to twelve thousand deals a year. Generally, we do a good job with customer service and sixty to seventy percent of that business is repeat and referred. The fact that we somehow weren't in the ballpark and at worst non-responsive in your case is unacceptable. I have spoken to our general manager in the Houston market and we will make the correct changes to do a better job. If there is anything personally I can do for you in the future don't hesitate to call.

BAD EXPERIENCE

A while ago i was trying to lease a car. I was in contact with Matt Copper. As a first buyer I was really trying to get a good deal. I was very curious about each details and Matt tried to explain everything to me. But numbers were still to high. At the end I sent message to Matt that I was not interested any more. I had a way better deal from another company. He wanted explanation from me and wanted to convince me anyway to lease from DM. I had already set up appointment. He asked me to wait and he would contact with me shortly with deal similar to other company. He has never called me back and I was delaying other person because of that. I was fair to DM. I was responding to emails and he never called me back even with " I am sorry we cannot lease u a car with that price range ". I DO NOT RECOMMEND DM.

PS: if i lease by myself i would pay about 100$ less monthly for a car. DONT BOTHER EVEN.

Yet another snake, at D&M, just like the other lease guys I've talked to. I asked four or five times for the guy to email us the figures on a lease that he swore was the absolute best deal.

After trying (failing) to go around me, and *** my husband, he finally sent a half-*** email admitting he couldn't get the car for less than about $100 MORE than I could get it for myself. They use a roll-your-own credit scoring, to come up with a score that in our case was FORTY POINTS LOWER than Equifax, Experian and Transunion. Not even close to our actual FICO, just so he could try to tell us we don't qualify for the right lease. I knew he was lying from the beginning about paying off my lease.

I talked to my leasing financier and she told me he never even called for a pay-off. Total waste of my time. All those happy people posting glowing reviews on you-know-who websites probably have no clue what their real scores are, or what kind of deal they could have gotten on their own if they had the time to research and do the deals themselves. With all the information at hand on the internet now, there's no excuse for not knowing your actual credit score.

This is the second time I've been lead on a merry chase that ended with a b.s. credit score from the would-be leasing guy. Do it yourselves!

Do your homework! Run from these sleazy middle-men who probably do well to make $40k a year!

Update by user Mar 17, 2013

Well One Month after purchasing this Truck let me just list the problems I've had to fix with this truck.

1. New Tires - They did pay for new tires

2. Fix leak in transmission - Covered under Powertrain Warranty

3. Needed new front brakes - 20% left was squeaking very badly when stopping.

4. Had to replace battery - Battery completely died I had to get it jumped to take it in for service.

I took it to Champion Ford in Katy and they did an excellent job.

All of this one month after getting the truck. Not very happy that I had to leave my truck in the shop for 2 days to fix issues. The amount of time and money that I have wasted in the first month of owning this truck is not worth buying from them again. If you buy a used vehicle from this company be prepared to dish out some extra cash to fix issues that they will not check for. Or check them out yourself and then have them replace or fix the issues before you sign the contract. I was happy with how they dealt with the tires, but after all the new issues that have come up I am not going to mess with buying a car from them again. Go to a dealership to buy used because they actually thoroughly check the car and replace any issues (brakes, batteries, etc.) before putting the car up for sale.

Just an update on what the customer service manager told me. "D&M Leasing is a finance facilitating company. We have arranged the financing of the vehicle only. We do not have a service or body shop facility." So unless you are buying a brand new vehicle you are buying a truck that is "As Is." They go by the carfax as documentation that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle.

She did offer help finding discount service through one of their vendors. So buy a vehicle from them and then within a month they will help you find discount repair services to fix issues that you have with your vehicle that you bought from them.

After posting this I noticed that Joe Graber had left his email in response to a few other unhappy consumers. I emailed him with the same information from below.

Within 10 minutes he responded to my email and forwarded this information to the Manager in the Houston Market. He contacted me and he cut me a check for the amount of the tires. James was very professional and understanding and really worked to keep my business.

I am extremely happy with the outcome and James as regained my trust in the company. We are planning on buying another car in the next few years and I will be calling DM first.

Original review posted by user Feb 14, 2013

Just bought a used truck from D&M. The truck is in great condition and was told that it was clean and everything was inspected and in showroom condition.

Drove it for one day and the low tire pressure sensor came on. I figured that the cold weather caused the tires to deflate slightly. Went to three different tire companies and they all told me the same thing, these tires are very worn. I could continue to drive on them, but they discouraged it.

I have a 15 month old son and I am very upset that they would sell me a car that they checked and most likely knew the tires were worn and old, but sold to me anyways. Was told that they sale the trucks as is and sales are final. I guess I got played for a fool. I emailed the GM, but no response.

Thankfully the sensor went off or I might have been driving on bad tires for a while and risking my son's safety.

I will never buy a vehicle from them again. I am also a teacher and you can bet with over 1,000 teachers and staff in my district I will be spreading the word.

I contacted DM auto lease a week before Christmas to establish what vehicle I was looking for gave the lease agent to options on cars because I knew the first option would be hard to find for the right price . I have the leaae agent all of my information needed to make and start the transaction.

We got off of the phone he stated that this was all that he needed and that he would get started after Christmas and I as a manager of a Walmart respected that this was a busy time of the year for the company DM auto lease. I received a phone call from the sales agent on the Saturday after Christmas with the agent asking if I was still interested in the vehicle and I established again that I was and what vehicles I was interested in.Why would I give out my address social security and personal information if I was not serious in doing business with this company. I was told at the end of the phone call on Saturday that he would call me back on Wednesday 01/02/2012.

This phone call never happened instead I picked up the phone and called him right at 5pm the office closes at 6pm his first statement was glad you called and we spoke about the same things I talked about when I initially called DM auto lease he than told me he would call me right back as he just thought about something yet that call back never happens . If I'm not your target customer let me know however I was drawn to this company by your great reviews.

D&M leasing sold me a vehical they claimed was checked out and had no problems. 150 miles from Dallas truck broke down.

FORD dealers in Amarillo and Albuquerque said blown gasket was preexisting condition. Cost to repair -$6700 plus tax. D&M Leasing and their drivetrain warranty Co. Gulfstream refused to pay any part of repair and and D&M refused to take truck back.

These people pushed the warranty as a way to protect buyer. However, the Gulfstream warranty Co. Refused to pay for repairs.

Don't rely on their warranty or their verbal promises. Texas has no laws protecting purchasers of older used vehicals.

DM Auto Leasing in Dallas, Texas - D&M Leasing not honest

In response to your anonymous complaint; If you will contact me at 972-239-2222 x205 I will be happy to discuss a rememdy for you. As a leasing company we have no service facility. It is very unlikely we turned the tires. Likely the lease trade or lease return came to us that way. If we misidentified the problem I apologize and will do whatever is reasonable to fix it for you. Leased a 2009 Honda Pilot and a week into the lease we had a low tire. Took it to tire place and tire was so cupped they refused to fix it.

Tires were intentionally rotated to inside so unless you crawled under the car, it would not show. All 4 tires were removed to show they were so badly cupped, they were not safe. Our sales person was wonderful but D&M was not. It is 2 months later.

We got reimbursed for 1 tire and are supposed to receive check for 1 more, but we are stuck with other 2. Never will deal them them in the future.

DM Auto Leasing's reply to:

DM Auto Leasing in Plano, Texas - D&M Leasing misleads customers

It has been some time since I looked at this web site and I'd like to address some of the recent comments.
First, I hope that any of you who have a concern will take the time to speak to one of our managers or me personally. I think you will find me to be reasonable and fair. In general, I will admit that over the last 34 years we have had instances of clients who have concerns with us. We have over 15,000 active clients and nearly 70% of the business we do every month is either repeat or referred. Customer satisfaction is very important to me. We do have brick and mortar facilities but we do not inventory new cars. Most of what we do is manage our client's vehicle needs no matter what make or model; new, used, lease or finance. We have valuable local dealer partners and prime lease return inventory that help us offer exceptional value.
In the twenty-five plus years I have been here there have been virtually no clients who, after working with me to resolve an issue, have not been reasonably satisfied and had confidence restored in the company and the business they have done here. I hope any of you who may have issues will give us an opportunity to do the same for you. This site can't give you that kind of personal service.
There are no positive comments included here other than mine because of the nature of the site. If you want good comments come by the office and meet some of our clients, see the BBB ratings or see the hundreds of client photos and testimonials on Facebook. I will not try to talk you out of how you feel but I will listen and respond professionally and fairly to resolve your issues and provide the right information. JG

D&M Auto Leasing in Dallas misleads customers. Commits to paying off end of lease expenses, but does not follow-through on commitments.

I was told they would pay off my final payments and all wear and tear. Over 8 months later, and several promises to pay, they still have not paid.

Even a letter from my attorney indicating they are violating consumer laws, have not paid US Bank their money. At least at this point, US Bank has not allowed them to close other lease agreements.

Micah Torres with D&M Auto Leasing's addison office is the rat you do not want to deal with.
